Galapagos Islands Day 4

Day 4 began at the beautiful red beach of Rabida Island. As we pulled up there was an older “baby” Galapagos Sea Lion nursing on the beach nearby. Between the red beach, the sea lion and our ship in the background, it was a really amazing scene. We then came to a lagoon where there were about 15 Flamingoes including 2 on nest. A couple walked along the edge of the lagoon giving me great closeup photos of wild flamingoes. Also along the trail we saw a couple Oystercatcher parents change off on the next with 2 eggs. Back on the beach we saw a large starfish and a sea urchin and a bunch of Ghost Crabs.

I then went snorkeling just off of Rabida while the girls did a glass bottom boat ride. I saw a Manta Ray, Whitetip Reef Shark and Sea lions along with starfish. I saw but missed a photo of the coveted Chocolate Chip Sea Star.
