Day 5 began with the requisite visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. After seeing all of the tortoieses including some babies, we had some time to shop in the town of Puerto Ayoro. We got a few souvenirs and then had lunch at the Finch Bay Hotel.
After lunch and a little pool time we took about a half hour drive to the highlands where we were able to observe a bunch of the Galapagos tortoises in the wild.
