Oldies, but goodies

The photos tonight are from my first trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as a photographer. This was 6 years and 2 cameras ago. I spent about a week there on my first trip and had a little more time to explore and look for wildlife than we did on my more recent trip. I really enjoyed the side trip to the Cataloochee area of the park. It was much less crowded and getting there in the early morning with a nice cover of fog and some bugling elk was very cool to watch. The coolest animal that I found though was an Albino Groundhog. He was hanging out in the large field adjacent to the Mountain Farm Museum and he was pretty easy to spot even though the grass was higher. I looked in the are but had no luck on my recent trip.
