We arrived in the Galapagos Islands around midday. Before leaving the airport we had already seen a bunch of Lava Lizards and a finch.
We took a short bus ride to the port. Before even getting to our boat we saw a Land Iguana, Marine Iguana, Galapagos Sea Lion, Blue-footed Booby, and Magnificent Cormorant.
Then we took a panga (small inflatable boat) ride out to our ship, La Pinta.
Our first stop was North Seymour Island. This was a very short ride on the boat. The highlights of this stop included Blue-footed Boobies with babies, Magnificent Frigatebirds with babies, Galapagos Sea Lions, and Land Iguanas. The day ended with the best sunset of the trip.
