Day 2 started with a visit to Isabela Island. Our first activity was coastal exploration by pangaof an area called Punta Vicente Roca. We saw a lot of Galapagos Fur Seals, a few Galapagos Sea Lions, Marine Iguanas, Flightless Cormorants, Green Sea Turtles, Nazca (Masked) Boobies and Sally Lightfoot Crabs.
Next we got our first chance to snorkel. The water was cold (Average water temperature in the Galapagos in June is around 74 but the Western side of Isabela where we did our first snorkel is generally a few degrees colder). Once we got over the shock though the snorkeling was amazing. There were tons of Green Sea Turtles around. We also had several Galapagos Sea Lions and toward the end of our time
Our Last stop of the day was Puenta Espinosa on Fernandina Island. Here we had to make several detours as the trail was covvered with Marine Iguanas. We also saw Galapagos Hawks, Galapagos Sea Lions, Lava Lizards, a Fernandina Racer and a bunch of Green Sea Turtles. The highlight though was a couple day old Galapagos Sea Lion with its mother.
