Twisting Roads

Great Smoky Mountains National Park has its share of twisting roads, but there are not that many viewpoints (that I know of anyway) to capture them from. Newfound Gap is one place where you can get a good view of the road below. You will however need a fairly long lens to capture the stretch of the road down below. You also need the weather to cooperate. The morning I was there I had to wait for a break in the fog to be able to see more than about 20 feet.
There are several churches in the Cades Cove area. My favorite is the Missionary Baptist church. The cross on the floor definitely helps make the shot for me.
