The two shots today and particularly the first one are something a little bit different from my normal. The first shot is a view of downtown taken from the Ballast Point Park Pier on the south end of Bayshore Boulevard. I knelt down to get teh Brown Pelican aligned where I wanted with the skyline and shot at F1.4 for very minimal depth of field (basically sharpness for the not photographically inclined). Then I did very limited processing, mainly straightening the horizon and a slight vignette (darkening the edges). The second shot is a little more my normal style. I again shot at F1.4 for the minimal focus on the fish, but then combined as an HDR file and processed in photoshop and Nik Color Efex Pro.
