I have been waiting anxiously for the Tampa Convention Center to finish construction on the new meeting rooms on the river side of the building so I could return to my favorite angle of downtown and update my shots. It finally reopened a few days ago and there were decent photography conditions so I made the trip out before sunrise. It is really hard to beat this view of downtown. After the color left the sky I noticed the moon was still high enough for me to try another shot so I dashed over to Curtis Hixon Park. By moving around the park I was able to line up the setting supermoon with the crescent moons on top of the University of Tampa’s minarets. Not bad for a morning and I was home working on my pics by 7:15.
