Black Skimmer Babies

Went to visit a Black Skimmer colony this morning. These babies start hatching at the beginning of this week so I think the oldest may be right around a week old. It is tough to get good shots as the nesting area is roped off (for good reason, it is on a well visited beach). Unfortunately for us all of the Black Skimmers with babies were a good distance from the rope and often had several nesting birds between us and them. I was still able to get some good shots and it is always fun to watch the interactions, especially of the babies and parents.
