Well, this was a weekend where nothing went as planned, but managed to make the best of it today and get some photos I was happy with. Took a few photos of this Great Horned Owl parent. Two older chicks were nearby, but not in photogenic spots. Popped over to the Venice Rookery. The great Egret chicks have started hatching. Baby birds are obnoxious! They grab parents beak and yank there heads down trying to get fed. Finally made a stop at Oscar Scherer State Park. Still no luck finding the Scrub Jays. Did see an Eagle on the nest and found one in a tree a little ways away. Also found this stairway to…
