Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive

Finally got the chance to check out a site I have been wanting to visit for awhile, Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. I made 2 laps through the reserve which took about 3 hours. I saw quite a few nice birds including Osprey, Red-Shouldered Hawks, Coopers Hawks, and a pair of Bald Eagles of which I got probably my best flight shots to date. There were tons of Blue-winged Teal, Coots, moorhens, grebes and the usual wading birds. I also saw a couple birds that are less common including Wilsons Snipe and Fulvous Whistling Ducks. On my second trip through the gators were out including one big one and at one point I counted 25 gators (all but 1 being youngsters) from one viewpoint. Almost makes having to drive on I4 worth it.
