Circle B Bar Saturday

It is to the point where it is hard for me to go anywhere else because I feel like I get the most “bang for my buck” at the Circle B Bar Reserve. If I only have a few hours to shoot I can make it there in about 45 minutes and am almost guaranteed to see something interesting. Today the highlight was a fairly cooperative male painted bunting. Later I actually saw another male and two females in the same tree. The other highlight was some baby sandhill cranes. They are less than a week old and barely ever popped up above the weeds enough to get decent photos. I also made a quick stop at Lake Morton on the way back and took a few pictures of the Black and White Swans. I saw several sitting on nests and one nest with eggs, but no babies yet.

  1. Circle B Bar is a wonderful place. I haven’t been in a long while.
