The Kenansville area, south of Kissimmee, Florida is a great area for Florida wildlife and especially for birds. I spent the morning out there today and got quite a few pics I am happy with. I saw at least 4 Bald Eagles including 2 on or near nests. There were tons of Sandhill Cranes. Also found a couple of my favorite smaller birds that hang out in that area, the Eastern Meadowlark and the Loggerhead Shrike (sometimes called Murder Bird because they like to impale their pray on barb wire). I thought I missed out on one of my favorites, but found a Crested Caracara feasting on a roadkill Opossum on my way out of the area.
