I ended up with an unexpected weekday off today so I returned to the Circle B Bar Reserve today to take another shot at the bobcats. I started off super slow as I walked 3+ miles with very little interesting seen. Then all of the sudden, bobcat in a tree. I spotted a young bobcat sitting on a tree branch and stopped to photograph him. As I was working different angles I spotted a 2nd one that was mostly hidden but whose head was sticking out from behind some spanish moss. Then I found a third one sleeping in the crook of a branch near the top of the tree. I got to photograph them by myself for about 10 minutes and then a few other people showed up. 10-15 minutes later the bobcats climbed down out of the tree and disappeared into the grass. I did another round with my best finds being a little ring-necked snake and then found a baby gopher tortoise. Turned into one of the better nature photography days I have had in a long time.
