On our anniversary trip to Duluth, Minnesota we took a drive along lake Superior and visited two pretty cool places, Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. Gooseberry Falls was the first stop. The water level was pretty low but we still stopped at multiple levels of the falls and wandered around the rocks by the river.

After finishing here we traveled a few miles up the road to Split Rock Lighthouse. The lighthouse itself was closed by the time we arrived, but we were able to park and walk a trail that led us to great views of the lighthouse. We had a picnic anniversary dinner right on the water surrounded by pretty wildflowers.
