Saturday Morning at the Circle B Bar Reserve

Spent the morning out at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland this morning. Hiked 7.5 miles by 10 AM. The sunrise wasn’t super exciting but got a few decent shots. The gators weren’t too lively. The highlight was probably the Sandhill Crane family with two parents and a colt that walked past me on the trial several times. They then dug up what I believe to be a turtle egg nest and ate a bunch of the eggs about 15 feet away from me. The other cool photography sighting was a Purple Gallinule family with 3 babies. The babies are black little puffballs with huge feet. Finally I came across a tree with two separate Ospreys both eating a fish.
