This mornings launch of the Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center was incredible. We set up this morning on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa to capture the scene. It was way more impressive than the last launch I photographed. This rocket is taking 4 astronauts up to the International Space Station which we also saw whiz by this morning. I ended up taking about 200 or so photos and combined 175 into the composite image and the timelapse video seen here. The video is sped up as the pictures covered approximately 7 minutes. The last couple shots are closer views of the rocket plume as the booster rocket separates and returns to Earth so that is can be used again on another mission.
