A quick post today with a few shots from the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland. Whenever I go my goal is to make it out to Lake Hancock for the sunrise as I have seen a few of the best sunrises I have ever seen from there. This morning was a pretty decent one with some nice clouds. I tried to frame it with the cypress trees. The other main attraction of course is the gators. On this visit I caught them during mating season and captured several of them calling. If you have never seen it you should look for a video. They raise their head and tail above water with their back slightly below water and when they make the call the water over their back vibrates. It’s pretty cool to watch.
