One of my most frequent shooting spots, especially for sunrise is the Ballast Point Park pier in South Tampa. I live about 5 minutes away so it is an easy place for me to run out to if I have time to catch the sunrise. A lot of the time I will plan my shoots and know where the sun will rise or set using an app such as Photo Ephemeris. This time however I did not. But it worked out great! This was the first time I arrived and the sun rose almost directly in line with the pier. Sometimes it pays to be lucky.
