Florida Southern College – Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture

My oldest daughter currently is planning on pursuing architecture as her career. She was rather disappointed when we were in Pittsburgh for a wedding last year and she saw advertisements Falling Waters which we did not have time to visit. For those of you who don’t know what Falling Waters is, it is the most famous architectural piece created by Frank Lloyd Wright, the most famous US architect. I knew that Florida Southern College had several buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright so I signed my daughter and I up for the In Depth Tour. This was a really well done and informative tour with a very knowledgeable guide. The tour lasted almost 3 hours and he walked us around and inside of most of the buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Florida Southern has the largest collection of buildings designed by Wright including 12 finished pieces. The tour is highly recommended if you are interested in architecture or Frank Lloyd Wright. There are also shorter tours available.
