A couple birds from the Everglades

Everglades National Park, and especially Anhinga trail, is one of the best bird photography places to visit. There are a whole lot of different type of birds to see and all pretty use to people. The cormorants in particular are very used to the crowds and allow for a close approach. They sit on the railing just along the main path and people are walking within a few feet of them all day. This allows you to get a little closer view than normal. Maybe the prettiest bird in Florida is the Purple Gallinule. THey are mostly purple but have huge yellow feet, a little turquoise/green on the back and a candy corn beak. The colors can really shine when the sun hits them the right way.
