This first photo was a fallback sunrise location. I originally headed to Safety Harbor Pier to catch the sunrise. However, upon arrival there were a bunch of people out walking around the area. It took me a few minutes, but I finally figured out that they were getting ready for a race. As soons as I figured it out I decided I better head somewhere else so I wasn’t trapped as I still had to go to work after the sunrise. I decided to head back toward Tampa. I stopped about halfway across the Courtney Campbell Causeway and found this spot to capture the sunrise over Old Tampa Bay. Not a bad fall back. The second shot it downtown Tampa as captured from Julian Lane Park. I framed downtown Tampa with a sculpture called the Ripple Gates by Thomas Sayre.
