This evening I made a trip down to see the new section of the Tampa Riverwalk that just opened. This section goes from Curtis Hixon Park under the Kennedy Bridge to connect with the rest of the Riverwalk. It was by far the most people I have ever seen using the Tampa Riverwalk. They did a nice job adding multiple covered sitting areas with nice designs. At night some sections are lit up with colored lights and others just have the reflections of the colors from the bridges. Both of my shots tonight cover the same area of the Tampa Riverwalk, the section just south of the Kennedy Bridge, but are from very different angles. The first shot was taken from along the Riverwalk looking back toward the bridge and the University of Tampa. The second shot is from across the Hillsborough River and was taken from right next to News Channel 8. You can see two of the riverside hotels, Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel and Aloft Tampa Downtown. Will definitely have more pictures of the Riverwalk to come soon.
