Hillsborough River Reflections

The Hillsborough River runs along the Western border of downtown Tampa and is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. My favorite way to capture the river is to use it as a mirror and try to capture the reflections of the downtown buildings in it. Both of these shots use this technique. The first shot, River Reflection of Downtown Tampa, was taken before sunrise from Plant Park at the University of Tampa. The blue tones in this image are so strong it almost feels cold. The second shot was taken just after sunset on a visit exploring the Tampa Riverwalk. I frequently capture the lit up tower in my skyline shots, but this is the first time I focused on the building itself. I love the clarity and the colorful reflections.
