The two shots tonight are two separate ways of processing an HDR image. The first shot is a new method I am testing out called Merge to 32 bit Tiff. This came to my attention through a tutorial by Joshua Gunther who I have been following for awhile on Flickr. I have really just started experimenting with it, but so far it has exceeded my expectations and in most instances I feel it looks better than my previous method. My previous method was to combine the exposures and tonemap using Photomatix. That is how I processed the second image for today. I am going to keep experimenting to see if there are cases where each method works better and will continue to follow up on that here on the blog.
