Sorry for the recent lack of updates. I have backed off posting a little bit as I was doing a lot leading up to my show and I needed a little break. I am slowly getting back into the posting mode now though. The good news is that I have a ton of new stuff that I am working on including more pictures from Clearwater, Tampa Theatre, downtown Tampa, and St Petersburg.

Today’s two shots wer eboth take at the Castillo de San Marcos in St Augustine Florida. The fort in located right on the Matanzas River and I was able to make it our for one beautiful sunrise with lots of good cloud formations. I shot a lot of combinations of the fort, clouds, water and sunrise. One thing I often look for when shooting is something to frame my main subject, in this case the Castillo de San Marcos. In the first shot I changed my position so that the palm trees encircle the fort and lead the eye up into the clouds. I went for a little more dreamy effect with this image. The second is a little more of a standard image with the fort, sunrise, clouds and reflection all included.
