Gopher Tortoise and Alligator at Dawn

I feel like I have kind of neglected photos of Florida wildlife, especially reptiles, which are one of the things that brought me to photography in the first place. I have also had an interest in snakes and gators and loved going to parks and looking for them. Lately my photography has been focused a lot closer to home and has been more of the architectural variety. I enjoy that also and have sold a lot more of that type of photo, but I still like to try to get out to see some wildlife now and then. These are both older shots. The gopher tortoise was captured in Oscar Scherer State Park in Osprey, Florida. That is also a great park to go to see Florida Scrub Jays by the way. The alligator was captured at dawn at Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park. Anhinga trail is definitely one of my favorite places in Florida and I could easily spend hours there.
