Tampa Selective Color and Hotel Floridan

More shots tonight from my Skypoint photography outing in downtown Tampa. The first shot tonight is a very similar angle to one of the shots from last night. There are a couple of differences between the two shots. Tonight’s photo was taken later in the evening after the sum had gone down and all the lights of the city had come on. The bigger difference is the way I processed the photo. I initially processed it similar to yesterdays photo and then processed it again in black and white and then combined the two. This is a technique called selective color. This technique can be used to draw attention to a specific part of the image or in this case just to give it a different look and feel. The second photo is a different view of the Hotel Floridan. The Hotel Floridan is a historic Hotel in the middle of downtown that recently reopened. I like the sign on top and the diagonal angle of this shot.
