Thanksgiving morning I headed out before the family was up to capture the sunrise at the Cocoa Beach Pier. I am calling the two shots tonight fire and ice because one has the very warm sunrise colors and the other has the very cool predawn colors. I have also been playing around with Photomatix 5 and looking for the differences when doing my HDR conversions. I tried the new contrast optimizer method which is what I used for the predawn shot. For the sunrise shot, I reverted to my normal details enhancer mode. If you visit the pier for sunrise I recommend you arrive a little early to capture the neon glow of the Ron Jon Surf Shop which is just down the road. Not a bad way to spend a Thanksgiving morning.
