On Sunday morning I headed over to St Petersburg with the main goal of capturing the partial eclipse. After that was complete I wanted to look for a few new photo subjects. When I am in St Petersburg I generally focus on the Dali Museum, the Mahaffey Theater, and the St Peterburg Pier for good reason. However, I now have quite a few good shots of these subjects so I always look for something different. Since I was shooting the sunrise from Demens Landing Park, the control tower at Albert Whitted Airport made a nice subject across the water. I also noticed the St Peterburg Police Memorial which I am pretty sure was not there the last time I took photographs in this area.
