One of the things I really like about HDR is how it puts an emphasis on the clouds. I do not like HDR for a lot of my nature photography, but if there is a good sky, especially with some nice clouds then I will use HDR. The first shot tonight is a cloudy sunrise at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Naples. The second is a beautiful rainbow I saw in the Big Cypress National Preserve later that same day after sitting through a horrible thunderstorm.
