Canon 5D Mark III Autofocus

Today I got to make my first real outing with the Canon 5D Mark III. I spent a couple of hours this morning at Fort Desoto, mostly around the pier photographing the birds. I also saw a couple of dolphin and got a decent shot or two. The autofocus on this camera is amazing. Now, I am comparing it to my last camera which was a Canon 40D where you pretty much had to rely on the center autofocus point. With this camera there are some many focus points and different focusing modes that you can use that the difficult part will be making sure I select the right one. Still for the first time out I was able to get quite a few decvent shots of birds in flight which is always a good test for the autofocus system.
