A few more of my favorites from the Blue Ridge Parkway and its surrounding area. The shot of the Black bear was taken at Grandfather Mountain. If you have not been there the two major attractions are the “Mile high swinging bridge” and the small zoo. This bear was photographed in the zoo area as he kept sticking out his tongue. At many of the overlooks there were good photos to be taken back across the road. Often there would be a nice wall of rock topped off by some good colors. Just reminds you that you have to keep your eyes open.
