Florida Orbweaver Spiders

Florida is home to quite a few species of spiders. The most frequently seen spiders are probably in the orb-weaver family. Golden Silk Orb-Weavers (aka Banana spider) are very common in Florida forests. They have a yellowish body, black and yellow legs, and their web also has a golden tint to it. The second shot is of a Triangle Orb-Weaver. I have only seen one or two of these in all the times I have been out in the woods. Spiders can make fun subjects for photography, but are sometimes difficult to capture because of their size. Focus can also be difficult because they are often almost floating in air and it is hard to pick them out from the background.
