Cumberland Island National Seashore, Georgia

I have made a few trips up into Georgia, but would definitely like to explore more. We had a great time in Atlanta visiting the zoo, the aquarium, and Centennial Park. We definitely would like to make another long week trip back to Atlanta soon. Savannah was not really that fun as my wife was sick and our daughter who was pretty young at the time was not happy the whole trip and did not sleep much at all. We did get to see most of the sites and eat at Paula Deen’s restaurant, but did not get much sleep. I have also visited Providence Canyon which is a really cool place that you would never expect to find in Georgia. The shots tonight are from the Cumberland Island National Seashore in Southern Georgia just north of the Florida border. Cumberland Island is reached by ferry from St Mary’s, Georgia. The highlights were the wild horses and the ruins of the old Carnegie mansion. The lowlight was my bike that we rented to explore the island continually falling apart and having to walk it back across half the island.
