Circle B Bar Reserve after the rain

I returned to the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland today. What a difference the rain has made. The wading bird area has much higher water levels now and consequently not many wading birds at all. They also closed the Marsh Rabbit Run trail due to alligator mating/nesting season. There was not much activity there this morning but I still get a few nice shots.
The first shot is a butterfly called a Gulf Fritillary on some wildflowers. There were several of these flying around and I took some time to try to capture them in different positions on the flowers. The second shot is an immature Little Blue Heron. They start out mostly white and turn blue after the first year or so. This one is in the in between stage and had some really cool patterns.
