New Screech Owl

Drove to visit a new Screech Owl today as the nest was so cool looking and I knew it had babies. It worked out pretty well. Stopped by one of my other favorite areas on the way back and got some bonus pics of a Burrowing Owl and Eastern Meadowlarks galore.

Burrowing Owl on a post. This was my first time seeing them at this location.

Looks like he’s pulling up his pants.

Eastern Meadowlark singing on a fence post.

Despite having a mouthful of spiders this guy was still singing away.

The owl pictures and videos never cease to amaze me. Just one spectacular photo after another. How come I never see creatures like you do. Probably because I never get up at 5am so I can arrive at the right spot to see birds and other animals emerge at sunrise. Great stuff!

These are beautiful photos! The owls are so cute. Where in Tampa did you take these? I live here too and finally have some good binoculars. Would love to see one of these cuties! Love your photos so much!
