Owls and more

Back to one of my owl nests of course. This time I caught mom feeding the chicks. It’s getting a little tight in their nest especially when they are trying to test out their wings. One eventually climbed up on the rim of the nest giving me some of my favorite shots. Also caught a variety of waterbirds on the pond while I was watching including some with good reflections.

Two of the owlets are a little bigger and dominate the activity in the nest.

Killdeer-A shorebird you can see without going to the beach, Killdeer are graceful plovers common to lawns, golf courses, athletic fields, and parking lots. These tawny birds run across the ground in spurts, stopping with a jolt every so often to check their progress, or to see if they’ve startled up any insect prey. Their voice, a far-carrying, excited kill-deer, is a common sound even after dark, often given in flight as the bird circles overhead on slender wings.

I liked the red beaked birds and their reflections. Also, The owls manage to pick nesting places that are well camouflaged.

Good, better, best. Each set of pictures is better than the last set. Love the baby owls hiding in their nests. Love the Mama owl feeding the babies. Love every single shot
