Checked on 2 nests today. The Barred Owl is still sitting in her nest but they should be hatching soon. Initially the male was out in the open and I got a couple shots of him. On my second stop I had to wait for awhile but finally got some decent looks at the Great Horned Owlets. While waiting I had a Cardinal serenade me. Finally stopped by Roosevelt where I hadn’t been in awhile. Not too much exciting but caught a Red-tailed Hawk flying overhead and some decent pics of a Blue Jay.

I see GMA already responded and to no surprise, she picked the candidal as her favorite. I hope she played his song. Hard to see a. More spectacular one color bird than the cardinal. Spectacular!
