Foggy morning

Went to check out two spots I watched Great Horned Owls nesting last year. One appears to be out of commission and I don’t think will be used any more sadly. The second spot I checked however had mama sitting on a nest. That brings me up to 3 current Great Horned Owl nests for me to check on. Afterwards it was still extremely foggy. I went to Roosevelt Wetlands. I did see a young Bald Eagle but mainly just took photos with the fog.

Mama Great Horned Owl peeking over the nest box. I observed them raise two owlets here last year. You can see how deep the box is as mom nearly clears it so it takes awhile to see the babies.

Limpkin calling. They have a crazy call. If you haven’t heard it click here.

Just gorgeous shots of the wildlife in the heavy fog. The fog shots in themselves are wonderful. Thanks for all your thousands of footsteps in finding these treasures. Love every one of them.
