Cloudy evening at Roosevelt

Wasn’t sure I was going to go out this weekend due to other obligations plus weather issues, but decided to give it a go this evening. Was cloudy and not great light but I found a cooperative Loggerhead Shrike and the Painted Bunting was even cooperative today.

Not that many photos, but every one I’d a gem. The Loggerhead Shrike is gorgeous and I love the take-off by the Shrike. The painted Bunting has always been one of my favorite birds. It is like God is saying, “I have a bunch of leftover paint, so I think I will paint this bird with six to eight colors. Good choice. The Ring neck duck couple is spectacular. Few people have seen them, but they are magnificent. Glad you were able to take some more shots of Florida birds.

I’m so glad I checked my email today. Such gorgeous and colorful BL birds. A nice way to close my slow day. MN bird photos today would be taken with a snowy background.
