49 Degrees at the Circle B

It was 49 degrees when I started my hike this AM which was a nice change. Because of the cool air there was a pretty mist/fog coming off the water at sunrise which led to some unique photos.

Misty sunrise

More mist on the water.

Pileated Woodpecker in flight.

Juvenile Bald Eagle. This one is around 1 1/2 years old based on the plumage. Here is a guide showing how the colors change as they age and become “bald”.

Check out those talons. He was just itching his head.

Great shot. Great shot. Another great shot. Love the fog shots, the Great Blue heron and the eel, the eagle and the pileated in flight, the juvenile bald eagle becoming bald and the beautiful cardinal. Not a bad shot in the batch. Thanks.
