Still no bobcats

Back to the Circle B again and I still struck out on the bobcats. At least I had a Barred Owl to start the morning. There was a dead and bloated gator floating next to the trail and being guarded by another large gator. Then I watched an Anhinga struggle to get a speared fish off his beak and get it down his throat. I finished off with a few macro shots including 2 Green Lynx spiders with egg cases and finally a Common Ribbon Snake.

Barred Owl before sunrise.

Sunrise along the trail.

Red-shouldered Hawk against some sunlit clouds.

Bloated alligator carcass being guarded by another large alligator. (I can smell this photo).

Anhingas catch fish underwater by impaling them with their sharp beak. This guy impaled the fish so well that it took several minutes rubbing on the barrier and post to get it off. It then took a few minutes to reposition, but he eventually got it down.

Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar and Schistocerca serialis (a type of bird grasshopper).

Speckled Scutellerid a type of shield-backed bug.

Common Ribbon Snake.

Young Green Anole.
