Circle B No Bobcats

I went to the Circle B this morning because I was told bobcats have been appearing fairly regularly but had no luck there. Overall was very slow. Got a few interesting macro shots. Watched a heron down a huge armored catfish. Saw a few Bald Eagles flyover. Just before leaving a nice sized Cottonmouth crossed my path.

American Kestrel – Usually they fly away before they let me get close enough for a decent shot.

Great Blue Heron eating an invasive armored catfish.

Red-femured Spotted Orbweaver and Common Eastern Velvet Ant

Sharpshooter (Thin thing was tiny but that blue really stood out) and little gator.

Adult and Juvenile Bald Eagles.

Florida Cottonmouth – Decided to cross the path not 5 feet in front of me just as I was about to leave the park.

Kestrels, herons, eagles, sharpshooters (never heard of them, but glad to meet them), and that cranky cottonmouth. Never a good way to start or end your day. As always, thanks.
