Well, I hadn’t been to this park in 10-15 years before last weekend but I went back for the second weekend in a row and had good luck. It will probably become one of my go to parks as it’s only around 20 minutes away and is pretty productive. I wasn’t sure about the sunrise but it turned out pretty decent. Highlights included flyovers/flybys by Black-necked Stilts, a juvenile Bald Eagle, an Anhinga, a Red-winged Blackbird, and a few ducks. A Prairie Warbler and a variety of wildflowers added a nice splash of color.

Great shots of bird in flight and a gorgeous shot of the Indian Blanket flower.
So many beautiful birds. I especially like the redwing blackbird.
You had to get up early to get some of these shots.
Thanks again.
