I have been looking and looking and finally learned where a Barred Owl nest is last night. So of course I was there at sunrise. I knew the park it was at but not where. Of course, me being me, I was the first person to the park. I explored most of the trails without any luck and went to the fall back. I backtracked to the parking lot and followed a couple guys with big camera lenses and they led me to the nest. I have never seen a Barred Owl nest before in person and have never seen them this young so it was pretty cool. Mom was nearby and i got a shot or two of her also.

That is one fat possum. We are going to have to call you the owl king. You have photographed so many different owls in the past few weeks, and these were great shots of the two baby barred owls and their Mom.
