Made it out to the Great Horned Owlets again this morning. They are doing well and are probably a week or 2 from fledging. I got to see mom feed the chicks twice this morning. The first time looked like a small bird but I’m not positive. The second time was a rat which I’m always leery of as I have heard about too many dying from rodenticide. The only bad thing about the visit was the little bugs tore me apart.

Glad to see the owlets are doing well. The owlets sounds like the name of the backup singers for Ray Charles. You mention being eaten up by bugs. People probably never think of the downsides of taking wildlife photos, such as being eaten alive by bugs. Your pain is our gain. Thanks
