The owlets at site 1 are doing well. They are getting bigger and are in the fluffy stage now. Mom spends most of the morning in a nearby tree but flies over occasionally to check on them. Unfortunately at site 2 the older chick has fallen out of the tree twice. The first time it was put back. The second time it was taken to a rehab. The younger chick finally left the nesting platform within the last day or two. Hopefully no more drama there.

You can see the size difference in the two here.

Lots of yawning going on.

Random Cardinal photo.

Two little owlets sitting on a platform.

Now it’s my turn to yawn.

Sitting and waiting.

What happened to my sibling? Oh, just sleepy.

Kind of looks like a chicken.

Mom and her two owlets.

Mom and the owlets.

Got them all looking at the camera finally!

What are you doing down there? Osprey with fish from straight below.

Duck
The owlets are growing up quickly and we all thank you for showing and telling their story. Mix in a beautiful cardinal, an Osprey and a duck, and you make everyone’s day better. You are a storyteller using your lens to tell such an interesting and beautiful story.
One baby owl is growing faster than the other.
I love cardinals. Yesterday I was as Eric and Sara’s in Cold Spring and there was a cardinal at a feeder.
Your photos are great, as always. I’m sharing these also.
