Circle B Bar Birthday trip

I spent the morning at the Circle B today. Not too much going on. A young Red-shouldered Hawk gave me some nice close views. A male Anhinga in breeding plumage among some cool branches was the second interesting sighting. Finally, I found a male Painted Bunting hanging out in some reeds and then caught hum as he flew up into an Oak tree. These shots made the trip worthwhile.

Great pics today as always. I never saw that kind of salamander.

Like Marilyn, I was particularly intrigued by the greater siren. I went straight to Wikipedia to learn more. When I enlarged the photo, I think I could see the external gills and costal grooves.
