Well, I decided to post my top 10 wildlife photos of the year. (Not in order)
1)Baby Sandhill Crane on mom’s back
2)Baby Barn Owl
3)A good Bald Eagle Flight Shot
4)Baby Sandhill Crane testing wings
5)Baby Cottonmouth doing the pose
6)Reddish Egret with attitude
7)Belted Kingfisher in front of Full Moon
8)Mama Screech Owl bringing home Katydid
9)2 Baby Screech Owls Peeking out
10)Mama and Baby Great Horned Owl
Wonderful animal shots. The owls seem to win in terms of of numbers out of the ten photos, but I don’t know how to pick out a winner in this group of photos. I do love the Sandhill Crane with the baby on her back, but I also love the kingfisher posed in the moon backdrop. The baby barn owl is great, as well as the reddish egret. It’s hard not to love the Momma screech owl or the photo of the baby screech owls or the cuddling Momma and baby Great Horned Owl. They are all winners.
Unbelievable! What a talent you have for getting the exact pose of birds and animals. I didn’t spend much time looking at the snake!

Hi – In case you are wondering, I am a friend of Darryl’s from 4th grade. Birds are often not that easy to get in the binocs, not to mention the camera lens. Your photos are technically marvelous with perfect light and framing, but, more importantly, they make me smile. The kingfisher framed against the full moon is a surprise. The baby owls and sandhill cranes are just plain adorable. Through your photography of nature, skylines and celestial happenings, you bring out the magic all around us. Many thanks for enriching my life.
Amazing amazing work Matt! They’re all fantastic!
